Champions Terengganu get $50,000 as prize money

DHAKA, Oct 31, 2019 (BSS) – New champions Terengganu FC of Malaysia received U$D 50,000 while runners-up Chattogram Abahani Limited got U$D 25,000 as prize money of the Sheikh Kamal International Club Cup Football Tournament that concluded on Thursday at MA Aziz Stadium in Chattogram.

Finance Minister AHM Mustafa Kamal, also chairman of the organizing committee of Sheikh Kamal International Club Cup Football Tournament, witnessed the day’s final as the chief guest and distributed the trophy.

Bangladesh Football Federation (BFF) president Kazi Mohammad Salahuddin, vice chairman of organizing committee of Sheikh Kamal International Club Cup, State Minister for Youth and Sports Zahid Ahsan Russell, MP, Bangladesh Awami League Youth and Sports Affairs’ Secretary Harunur Rashid, BFF senior vice president Abdus Salam Murshedy and BFF general secretary Abu Nayeem Sohag, Chattogram Divisional Commissioner Abdul Mannan and MA Latif, MP, among others, witnessed the day’s final match.

Hairiey Hakim Bin Mamat of Terengganu FC named the player of the match for his impressive performance in the final and received U$D 500 while Lee Tuck of the same team was given the man of the tournament award with cash prize of U$D 1,000 as prize money.

Lee Tuck also emerged the highest scorer (six goals) of the tournament.

Besides, Chattogram Abahani Limited received the fair play award.
