Dhaka WASA signs MoU with NCC
DHAKA, Oct 31, 2019 (BSS) – A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed today at Pan Pacific Sonargaon Hotel here to hand over the activities of Dhaka WASA to Narayanganj City Corporation (NCC).
Minister for Local Government, Rural Development and Cooperatives Md Tajul Islam was present as the chief guest on the occasion, according to a press release.
Tajul said the government has taken some steps to provide pure drinking water to everyone in the cities and villages.
He also said everything that needs to be done to strengthen the local government is being done.
Managing Director and CEO Engineer Taksim A Khan on behalf of Dhaka WASA and Narayanganj City Corporation Mayor Selina Hayat Ivy signed the MoU on behalf of their respective organisations.
LGRD Secretary Helal Uddin Ahmed and high officials of LGRD Ministry and Narayanganj City Corporation were also present at the meeting.
