JS body for railway engineering department in universities
DHAKA, Oct 10, 2019 (BSS) – The Parliamentary Standing Committee on the Ministry of Railways today suggested the authorities concerned to open railway engineering departments in universities.
The recommendation was made at the sixth meeting of the committee at the Jatiya Sangsad (JS) Bhaban.
The meeting also recommended to present reports on the overall progress and development of the Chattogram-Cox’s Bazar rail line project along with the survey and design implementation of the Dhaka-Chattogram high speed train line project, said a press release.
The committee called for completing the remaining projects by maintaining the quality, within the stipulated time.
Committee chairman ABM Fazle Karim Chowdhury presided over the meeting.
Committee members Railways Minister Md Nurul Islam Sujan, Md Shafiqul Azam Khan, HM Ibrahim, and Gazi Mohammad Shahnawaz Md Saifuzzaman also attended the meeting.
Secretary of the Railways Ministry and other officials concerned were present at the meeting.
