General holiday at Rangpur-3 for by-polls
DHAKA, Oct 03, 2019 (BSS) – The by-elections of Rangpur-3 constituency, which was vacant after the death of Jatiya Party former chairman HM Ershad, is set to be held on October 5.
The government has declared general holiday in the electoral areas for by-elections, said a ministry press release here.
The release said, a general holiday has been declared for the employees of all government, non-government, semi-government and autonomous bodies and teachers and employees of all government and non-government educational institutes.
If there is any schedule for public examination on the day in the electoral areas, the holiday will not be valid for the exam centers and also for teachers and staff of those particular educational institutes.
The directives were issued by a circular of the Ministry of Public Administration, added the release.
