FM signs condolence book at Jacques Chirac’s death
DHAKA, Oct 1, 2019 (BSS) – Foreign Minister Dr AK Abdul Momen today signed the condolence book kept at France Embassy in Dhaka, expressing deep shock at the death of former French president Jacques Chirac.
During his signature, Momen said Jacques Chirac’s contribution to preventing global warning and climate change and establishing global peace will be remembered, according to a press release of the Foreign Ministry.
France as well as world has to incur an irreparable loss at his death, the foreign minister said.
The foreign minister conveyed sympathy to members of the bereaved families and the people of France.
On September 26, Jacques Chirac, a centre-right career politician who served as head of state from 1995 to 2007, died at the age of 86.
