Ongoing anti-graft drive against law-breakers: Asaduzzaman
GAZIPUR, Sept 29, 2019(BSS) – Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan today said the ongoing anti-graft drives are not just against casino but also for those who would violate the law of the country.
“Legal actions are being taken against those who run illegal businesses working against the law of the country. The ongoing operation is not against the casino only but also for all law-breakers,” he told newsmen at a programme as the chief guest.
Asaduzzaman was talking to journalists at the basic training and closing ceremony of 35th and 36th BCS (Ansar) officers at Safipur Ansar-VDP Academy under Kaliakoir upazila of the district.
Asaduzzaman said good governance should be established for maintaining the current position of the country which has been brought by Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina through her pragmatic leadership.
Any public representative or an employee must face the law if he or she becomes wrong-doer, he added.
The programme was attended, among others, by Senior Secretary of Public Security Division under the Ministry of Home Affairs Mostafa Kamal Uddin, Bangladesh Ansar and VDP Director General Major General Kazi Sharif Kaikobad, Additional Director General Brigadier General AKM Asif Iqbal and Deputy Director General Nimai Kumar Das.
