KHULNA, Sept 25, 2019 (BSS) – Joint Secretary General of Bangladesh Awami
League (AL) Abdur Rahman has said there is no room for anti social and anti
state activists in the party.
“Intruders and hybrids who are engaged with wrongdoing like casino,
gambling and drug peddling must be face into legal action and should be
punished,” he said while addressing at a daylong Khulna divisional council of
AL held at a posh hotel in the city on Tuesday.
Terming sacrificing leaders and activists would be evaluated and a list of
intruders, hybrids and chaos creators into the party is preparing as the
directive of Prime Minister and Party President Sheikh Hasina, he said,
adding, “Rebel candidates of AL during last upazila election will have to
receive show cause notice very soon.”
He also asked all unit leaders of AL to complete wards unit council by
November 30, city unit council by December 7 and districts unit council by
December 30.
State Minister for Public Administration Farhad Hossain, State Minister
for Local Government and Rural Development (LGRD) Swapan Bhattacharya, Khulna
City Corporation (KCC) Mayor Talukder Abdul Khaleque, Central Labour and
Manpower affairs Secretary Habibur Rahman Siraz, executive members SM Kamal
Hossain, Parveen Zamal Kalpona, Amirul Alam Khan addressed the council, among
others.
Organising Secretary of AL and Whip of Jatiya Sangsad Abu Sayeed Al
Mahmood Swapon, MP, conducted the council.
A doa and special munajat was offered seeking blessings for recovery of
sickness and wellbeing of Begum Regia Naser, aunt of Prime Minister Sheikh
Hasina, at the beginning of the council.
