Asian tourism fair begins on Thursday

DHAKA, Sept 24, 2019 (BSS) – A three-day regional tourism fair of eight Asian nations will be held in the capital from Thursday marking the World Tourism Day.

Nearly 150 different tourism service providers including 50 foreign exhibitors from the eight countries — Bhutan, China, India, Indonesia, Nepal, Philippines, Thailand and host Bangladesh – will take part in the fair to be held at International Convention City, Bashundhara (ICCB).

A travel magazine named Parjatan Bichitra with the support of Civil Aviation and Tourism Ministry, BIMSTIC Secretariat, Bangladesh Parjatan Corporation (BPC) and Bangladesh Tourism Board (BTB) will organize the fair.

State Minister for Civil Aviation and Tourism M Mahbub Ali will inaugurate the fair as the chief guest on September, 26 while Civil Aviation and Tourism Secretary Md Mohibul Haque and Secretary General, BIMSTEC Secretariat Shahidul Islam to be present as the special guests.

Seminars and cultural events by Bangladesh, Philippines, Indonesia will be held on the sideline of the fair, these were reveled today at a press briefing at a city hotel.
