Khasru terms journos as mirror of society
NETRAKONA, Sept 21, 2019 (BSS) – Terming journalists as the mirror of the society, State Minister for Fisheries and Livestock Md Ashraf Ali Khan Khasru today said they (journalists) have wider opportunities to highlight actual picture of the society through projecting objective reports or news in the media.
“The journalists can play an important role through presenting the fact for upholding the truth and keeping the people free from all sorts of confusion and propaganda” he said.
Khasru stated this while exchanging views with local journalists at Netrakona Press club in the district.
The present government under the dynamic leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has already ensured freedom of press and provided licenses of many news papers and private television channels in the country, he said.
As a result, the newsmen can now discharge their professional duties without any fear and restriction, the state minister added.
The view-exchanging meeting was also addressed, among others, by, district press club general secretary Shemolendhu Paul and several senior journalists including M Faqrul Haque, Abdul Hannan Ranjan, Haider Jahan Chowdhory and Liton Dhor Gupto.
