13 hi-tech parks with Cineplex’s in two years: Palak

DHAKA, Sept 19, 2019 (BSS) – State Minister for Information and
Communication Technology (ICT) Zunaid Ahmed Palak today said that the ICT
division has plans to set up Cineplex’s in the high tech parks across the
country.

“Movie is one of the best media for healthy entertainment. In order to
provide the youth with healthy and sound entertainment, the ICT division will
establish Cineplex’s in the 13 under-construction hi-tech parks across the
country”, a press release issued here quoted Palak.

He made the remarks while addressing as chief guest at the inauguration of
the weeklong film festival to mark the 48th birth anniversary of 90’s
heartthrob Actor Salman Shah.

The film festival titled ‘Birth Celebration of Salman Shah -2019’ was
arranged by ‘Dhuli Communications ‘at city’s Madhumita Cinema Hall.

The state minister recalled the iconic movie star by saying, “Salman Shah
was an inspiration, and an icon to follow for us…His heartbreaking
departure was too early for his followers and admirers.”

“His absence was never fulfilled but always felt… The Bangla movie
industry would have reached greater heights if he had been here among us”,
Palak added

The state minister expressed his hope that the film festival will play a
vital role in spreading his creativity and excellence in performance through
generations.

Actor Sakib Khan, vice chairman of TM Films and Gaan Bangla Television
Farzana Munni, chairman of Bangladesh Cholochchitra Sangbadik Samity
(BACHSAS) Falguni Hamid and convener of the programme Nipu Barua also spoke
at the function.

Salman Shah was born on September 19, 1971 in Sylhet. He made his silver
screen debut in 1993 through Sohanur Rahman Sohan directed film ‘Keyamat
Theke Keyamat’.

The actor won the hearts of thousands of film lovers across the country
for his acting and style.

He died on September 6, 1996.
