Mosaddek survives injury scare to play match against Zimbabwe

CHATTOGRAM, September 18, 2019 (BSS)-Mosaddek Hossain Saikat survived an
injury scare to play the Bangladesh’s third match of the Tri-nation T20
series against Zimbabwe on Wednesday at the Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium in
Chattogram.

The all-rounder who is comparatively in good form than his other
colleagues is fit to play at the eleventh hours despite sustaining a
hamstring during the practice session on Tuesday.

The host had a sleepless night as they had to deal with a heavy injury
blow as Mossadek made valuable contributions in their opening match victory
against Zimbabwe.

Chief selector Minhajul Abedin Nannu looked confident as he said earlier
that he would play and finally it happened.

“Mosadek got injured while practicing with the team and is under
observations of physio Julien Kalafote. We will wait till the end for his
participation,” Nannu said.

However Tigers came to the match with three changes as they handed T20
debut to Nazmul Hossain Shanto and leg-spinning all-rounder Aminul Islam
Biplob while Shafiul Islam made a comeback in T20 squad after two years.

To accommodate them, Soumya Sarkar, Taijul Islam and Sabbir Rahman were
excluded.
