Momen condoles death of Indonesian former president
DHAKA, Sept 16, 2019 (BSS) – Foreign Minister Dr AK Abdul Momen has condoled the death of Indonesian former president Professor Dr Ing H Bacharuddin Jusuf Habibie.
Momen expressed his deep condolence while signing the condolence book at the Indonesian embassy here today in the presence of Indonesian ambassador in Dhaka Rina P. Soemarno, said a press release.
In the message wrote at the book, the minister said Indonesia lost a farsighted statesman and dedicated scientist at the death of Dr Habibie.
“He played major role in expanding scientific cooperation and technology transfer to the friendly countries of Indonesia,” he recalled.
Momen prayed for eternal peace of the departed soul and conveyed deep sympathy to members of bereaved family.
Former Indonesian president B J Habibie died of heart failure at Jakarta’s Gatot Soebroto Army Hospital on September 11 at the age of 83.
