Bangladesh-Zimbabwe T20 match delayed due to wet outfield
DHAKA, Sept 13, 2019 (BSS)-The Tri-nation T20 series opening match between
Bangladesh and Zimbabwe was delayed due to wet outfield at the Sher-e-Bangla
National Cricket Stadium on Friday.
The consistent rain made the outfield wet, forcing the match to have
delayed start. The match was due to begin at 6.30 PM with the toss at 6 PM.
The cover from the center wicket was taken off at 5 PM after the rain that
started from last night stopped.
The umpires however had already made inspection twice to realize the
condition of the ground.
Since the drainage system of Mirpur stadium is world class, the match is
expected to be held unless rain arrives again.
