Three BRTC depots under automation system
DHAKA, Sept 11, 2019 (BSS) – As part of the Bangladesh Road Transport Corporation (BRTC)’s initiatives to make all its depots automated across the country, the automation system has been launched at three depots in city’s Kalyanpur area.
This was revealed at the 3rd meeting of the Parliamentary Standing Committee on the Road Transport and Bridges Ministry held today at the Jatiya Sangshad (JS) Bhaban with its Chairman Md Akabbar Hossain in the chair, said an official release said.
In the meeting, the parliamentary watchdog also expressed its optimism over introduction of automation system in all depots and units in the country soon.
Committee members Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader, Enamul Hoque, Md Abu Jahir, Rejwan Ahammad Taufiq, Md Salimuddin Tarafder, Sheikh Salahuddin and Rabeya Alim attended the meeting.
Senior secretary of the Bridges Division, secretary of the Department of Road Transport and Highways and other concerned officials of the ministry and parliament secretariat were also present on the occasion.
