Fortnight-long tree fair ends in Netrakona
NETRAKONA, Sept 7, 2019 (BSS) – A fortnight-long tree fair and tree plantation drive-2019 ended here today.
Netrakona District Administration, District Forest Department and District Agriculture Extension Department organized the fair at the old Collectorate office premises here.
A total of 50 colorful stalls were set up on the fair ground.
Deputy Commissioner of Netrakona Main-Ul-Islam addressed the concluding function as the chief guest while Divisional Forest Officer of Mymensing Forest Department AKM Ruhul Amin as special guest.
Deputy Director of the District Agriculture Extension Department Mohammad Habibur Rahman presided over it.
Main-Ul-Islam called upon the people to plant more saplings of different varieties of trees around their houses and other places for maintaining ecological balance.
