DHAKA, May 24, 2018 (BSS) – President M Abdul Hamid today attended iftar
hosted by Chief Justice Syed Mahmud Hossain at Bangladesh Supreme Court
Judges Complex on SC premises here.
The President went round different tables set for the guests, judges,
senior lawyers and other concerned of the SC and also exchanged pleasantries
with them.
Before the iftar, a special munajat was offered seeking divine
blessings for the continued peace, progress and prosperity of the nation.
Khatib of the Supreme Court Jame Mosque conducted the munajat.
Speaker Dr Shirin Sharmin Chaudhury, Cabinet members, former Chief
Justices, Supreme Court Bar Association leaders, judges of the Supreme Court,
attorney general, chiefs of three services, senior lawyers, senior civil and
military high officials, among others, joined the iftar party.
Earlier on his arrival at the iftar venue, the President was received by
Chief Justice Syed Mahmud Hossain and Law Minister Anisul Huq.
