Molecular lab now in Bangladesh

DHAKA, Sept 05, 2019 (BSS) – A world class molecular lab started its operation for the first time in Bangladesh to diagnose all kinds of multifaceted diseases mostly cancer with quality, accuracy and affordable price.

In this connection ‘Bio Safety Level-3, a most advance level technology, was introduced by ‘DMFR Molecular Lab and Diagnostics,’ a privately run diagnostic lab, situated at Navana Newbury Palace at Sobhanbag in the capital.

Prof Dr Deen Muhammad Nurul Haque, former Director General, The Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) and Chairman of DMFR Molecular Lab and Diagnostics today informed this at a press conference in the lab premises here.

The event organized after month long dengue identification and counseling program was taken by the lab where 2668 patient has been given treatment without any fee as a part of social responsibly, said Deen Muhammad.

He also announced that patients can take treatment by special doctors from the lab free of cost in the current month-long.

DMFR Molecular Lab’s Managing Director Md. Faizur Rahman, Consultant Prof Dr Ruhul Amin Mia, Director Asif Md Noor, Chief Scientist Dr Zakir Hossain also spoke at the event among others. Dr Deen Muhammad Nurul Haque said the lab have divided into two part. One for general diagnostic and another is Bio Safety Level-3, which are the most advanced level diagnostic process in the world now.

“Molecular diagnostic testing and flow cytometry testing are the most advance procedures that aid a host of critical investigations which ultimately armed the physicians to take the decision regarding most targeted therapies,” he said.

He then assured that patients will no longer need to go abroad from now. It will be possible to identify 100 per cent of the reasons of any disease at the very beginning as there are used advance level technologies of diagnosis.

“We also are able to make the services inexpensive and customize to our patient,” he added.
