AL seeks nominee for Rangpur by-poll
DHAKA, Sept 01, 2019 (BSS) – Awami League (AL) today called upon aspiring party leaders to collect the nomination paper for the by-poll to Rangpur 3 constituency.
They can collect the nomination paper from Monday to Wednesday (Sept 2- 4) from 10am to 5pm from the party chief Sheikh Hasina’s Dhanmondi office, said an official press release issued today.
The nomination form must be submitted on Thursday, Sept 5 within 5pm.
Earlier in the day, the Election Commission (EC) announced the schedule for the Rangpur by-poll.
Voting will be held on Oct 5 using Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs) across the constituency.
The Rangpur-3 fell vacant after the leader of the opposition and Jatiya Party Chairman Hussain Mohammad Ershad passed away at Combined Military Hospital (CMH) in Dhaka on July 14, while undergoing treatment.
