Dhaka to host ‘Showcase Malaysia’ from Dec 3

DHAKA, Aug 31, 2019 (BSS) – The Bangladesh-Malaysia Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BMCCI) is going to organise “Showcase Malaysia” at Pan Pacific Sonargaon in the city from December 3 to 5.

The information was revealed today at a function, marking the celebration of Malaysia’s 62nd Independence Day, at BMCCI office in the city, said a press release.

BMCCI celebrated Malaysia’s 62nd Independence Day with the participation of BMCCI members, major business houses, interested investors, government bodies of Malaysia and also the local investors from Bangladesh, who aspire to bring investment from Malaysia to Bangladesh.

Acting High Commissioner of Malaysia to Bangladesh Amir Farid Abu Hasan attended the function as the chief guest while BMCCI president Syed Moazzam Hossain delivered the welcome speech.

Amir Farid Abu Hasan said “We see more Malaysian companies taking interest to invest in Bangladesh. Malaysian companies that are already established in Bangladesh are expanding their foothold”.

Syed Moazzam Hossain welcomed the guests and said there are a lot of activities going on to improve trade.

In July this year, BMCCI successfully organized the 4th Showcase Bangladesh in Malaysia, he added.

He also announced the upcoming event– 6th Showcase Malaysia– in Bangladesh which is scheduled to be held on 3-5 December this year.

Among others, BMCCI past Presidents Nasir A Choudhury, Syed Nurul Islam and Md Alamgir Jalil, Secretary General Shabbir Ahmed Khan, Joint Secretary General MA Bakar, Treasurer Engineer BadrulHassan, Directors of BMCCI, officials from High Commission of Malaysia, BMCCI members and invited guests attended the program.
