Moon sighting committee to meet on Saturday
DHAKA, Aug 29, 2019 (BSS) – The National Moon Sighting Committee meeting will be held on August 31 to fix the date of holy Ashura and review reports of moon sighting of holy month of Muharram of 1441 Hijri.
The meeting will be held at the Islamic Foundation’s Baitul Mukarram office at 7pm with state minister of religious affairs and moon sighting committee chairman Sheikh Md Abdullah in the chair, said a press release.
People are requested to report to the committee on sighting of the moon from any place of the country. They can send fax or call the committee, the release also said.
