CHAPAINAWABGANJ, July 29, 2019 (BSS)- A total of 51,161 hectares of land
has been brought under Transplanted Aman (T-Aman) paddy cultivation in the
district this year.
According to the Department of Agriculture Extension (DAE), T-Aman would be
cultivated on 8,750 hectares of land in Chapainawabganj Sadar upazila, 750
hectares in Shibganj upazila, 14,143 hectares in Gomostapur upazila, 22,578
hectares in Nachole upazila and 4,240 hectares in Bholahat upazila.
The production target has been fixed at 1,41,028 tonnes of rice in the
district, the sources said.
The farmers of the district have started cultivating T-Aman paddy.
