GAZIPUR, May 07, 2018 (BSS)- Speakers at a discussion today demanded speedy execution of the verdict on the Ahsanullah Master murder case.
They came up with the demand at a discussion marking the 14th death anniversary of labour leader and freedom fighter Ahsanullah Master near his graveyard at Haidrabad here.
State Minister for Women and Children Affairs Meher Afroze Chumki, Gazipur Zila Parishad Chairman Md Akhtaruzzman, Gazipur City Awami League President Advocate Ajmat Ullah Khan and General Secretary Md Jahangir Alam, among others, addressed the function with Ahsanullah Master’s son local lawmaker Md Zahid Ahsan Russell chaired the discussion.
Marking the anniversary, different political, social, professional organizations, National University, Open University, Bangladesh Agricultural Research Institute, Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Agricultural University, Gazipur district administration, Shaheed Ahsanullah Master Smriti Parishad paid glowing tributes to Ahsanullah Master by placing wreaths at his grave.
On May 7 in 2004, a group of terrorists patronized by the then four-party alliance government led by BNP, killed him on MA Majid Mia High School ground at Noagaon in the district.
