Aman cultivation going on in full swing

PANCHAGARH, July 21, 2017(BSS) – Farmers of five upzilas of the district are passing busy time in cultivating Aman paddy with great enthusiasm.

Paddy growers are hoping that they would be able to get bumper yield of the paddy as they have received agri-inputs, including seeds and fertilizer, in due time from Department of Agricultural Extension (DAE).

Cultivators of the district have recently finished harvest of Boro paddy and they also got excellent yield of the paddy.

According to Department of Agricultural Extension (DAE), about 81,000 hectares of land have been brought under Aman cultivation in the district this year with the production target of 3,22,000 tonnes of the food grains.

The DAE has supplied quality Aman seeds, fartilizers among the farmers at a cost of free, said officials.

DAE field-level officers are motivating farmers to adopt the modern technological support to boost the production of the paddy.
