Amu urges party men to work in unison to strengthen AL

MYMENSINGH, July 16, 2019 (BSS) – Awami League Advisory Council member Amir Hossain Amu today called upon the leaders and workers of the party to work in unison and obey the party discipline to strengthen the organization.

“Bangladesh has become a role model of development under the dynamic leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina. We will have to help reach the development activities to the people at grassroots. Strengthening organizations efforts is must for that,” he said.

The AL leader said while inaugurating the party’s Mymensingh divisional representatives’ meeting in Tareq memorial auditorium on the premises of Town Hall here. Chaired by Education Minister and Awami League Joint General Secretary Dr Dipu Moni, the meeting was addressed by AL Presidium members Begum Matia Chowdhury and Agriculture Minister Dr Md Abdur Razzque, Organizing Secretary Ahmed Hossain, Cultural Affairs Secretary Asim Kumar Ukil, former minister Mirza Azam, party’s Education and Human Resource Affairs Secretary Shamsunnahar Chapa, central working committee member Marufa Akhter Popy, Jatiya Sangsad Whip Atiqur Rahman Atiq, former Religious Affairs Minister Principal Matiur Rahman, Mymensingh City AL President Ehtasem Alam and Mymensingh City Corporation Mayor Ekramul Haque Titu, among others, addressed the function.

AL Organizing Secretary Advocate Md Misbah Uddin Siraj and Mymensingh district AL General Secretary Advocate Moazzem Hossain Babul conducted the meeting while Mymensingh district AL President Advocate Jahirul Haque Khoka gave the welcome address.

Amu said Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman had struggled for economic emancipation of people and establishing their rights.

Now, Bangabandhu’s daughter Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina is working relentlessly to build a Sonar Bangla as dreamt by the Father of the Nation, he added.
