JS, UNDP sign MoU on organizing workshops
DHAKA, July 7, 2019 (BSS) – A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed today between Jatiya Sangsad (JS) Secretariat and United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) on organizing workshops on Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) for the members of parliament and JS officials.
The MoU was signed when a delegation, led by UNDP Bureau of Policy and Programme Support Team leader Charles Chauvel, met JS Speaker Dr Shirin Sharmin Chaudhury at her office at the Jatiyo Sangsad Bhaban here, said a press release.
Senior Secretary of the JS Secretariat Dr Zafar Ahmed Khan and UNDP Bangladesh Resident Representative Sudipto Mukerjee signed the MoU on behalf of their respective sides.
Speaker Dr Shirin Sharmin said Bangladesh is now working to achieve the SDGs.
A workshop will be held on SDGs tomorrow at the Jatiyo Sangsad Bhaban where 75 nominated members of parliament will take part, she added.
The speaker focused on organizing workshops on climate change, SDGs and information and communication technology.
