Amu for making students aware of harmful effects of drugs
JHALAKATHI, July 3, 2019 (BSS) – Chairperson of the parliamentary standing
committee on Industries Ministry Amir Hossain Amu today said awareness should
be raised among the students about the harmful effects of abusive drugs.
“Police and the youths have to work together to root out trading and
consumption of abusive drugs from the society. Students should be aware of
about the destructive consequence of drugs. Guardians should look after their
children’s education, movement and all activities,” said Amu.
The veteran parliamentarian came up with the comments while addressing a
law and order development committee meeting in Jhalakathi as the chief guest.
He also said the Prime Minister gave directives to take stern actions
against river and canal grabbers.
District Commissioner of Jhalakathi Johor Ali and Superintendent of Police
in Jhalakathi Fatiha Yesmin, among others, were present at the programme.
