Website on life, ideal, struggle of Bangabandhu to be developed
DHAKA, June 19, 2019 (BSS) – An international standard website based on
the life, ideal, long struggle of Bangabandhu and his plans-programmes for
building Bangladesh will be developed marking the birth centenary of Father
of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.
The issue was discussed elaborately in the first meeting of the 17-member
committee formed earlier to scrutinize or select contents for the website,
said a press release today.
Committee convener and member secretary of the Father of the Nation
Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Memorial Trust Sheikh Hafizur Rahman
presided over the meeting.
Professor Mohammad Rafiqul Islam, chairman of the National Implementation
Committee for the Celebration of the Birth Centenary of the Father of the
Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, chief coordinator of the committee
Dr Kamal Abdul Naser Chowdhury, state minister for information and
communication technology Zunaid Ahmed Palak, former chairman of University
Grants Commission (UGC) Dr Abdul Mannan, curator of the Father of the Nation
Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Memorial Museum Nazrul Islam Khan, National
University Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr Harun-or-Rashid, trustee of
Liberation War Museum Mofidul Haque, former city editor of the Bangladesh
Sangbad Sangstha (BSS) Ajit Kumar Sarkar, private secretary-2 to the Prime
Minister Wahida Akhter, special assistant to the Prime Minister Barrister
Shah Ali Farhad, poet Tarique Sujat, Deputy Press Secretary to the Prime
Minister M Ashraful Alam Khokan and Centre for Research and Information (CRI)
Associate Coordinator Tonmoy Ahmed attended the meeting, among others.
