Jashore, June 13, 2019 (BSS) – A motorcyclist was killed and two others injured as a truck hit the motorcycle in Muktodah area under Chawgacha upazila in the district today.
The deceased was identified as Majhar Ali, 72, resident at Burinda village in the upazila.
Officer-in-charge (OC) of Chawgacha Thana Rifat Bin Rajib confirmed.
Witnesses said the accident took place around 7:20. Seriously injured three motorcyclists were taken at Chawgacha upazila Health Complex and referred to admit at Jashore General Hospital where Majhar Ali succumbed to his injuries.
Police seized the truck but its driver and helper fled the spot. A case was filed in this connection.
