Police arrest yaba smuggler at HSIA
DHAKA, JUNE 10, 2019 (BSS) – Police today arrested a person with 920 yaba
pills at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport (HSIA).
He was identified as Faruk Hossain. A total of 920 yaba pills were
recovered from a packet hidden inside his trousers, Alamgir Hossain,
additional police superintendent of Airport Armed Police Battalion (AAPBn)
told BSS.
“Faruk Hossain was first interrogated and then searched on arrival at
Terminal-1 at the airport, after AAPBn officials observed his suspicious
movement,” he said.
“He is a professional smuggler. A case has been filed against him in this
connection, and he has been sent to the court seeking a 7-day remand”,
Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Airport Police Station, Md Nur-e-Azam Mia told BSS
today.
