Death aniv of martyred Mohsin Ali Dewan tomorrow
DHAKA, June 02, 2019 (BSS) – The 48th death anniversary of martyred
Principal Mohsin Ali Dewan will be observed tomorrow in a befitting manner.
Pakistani occupation forces killed Dewan with the association of Jamaat
and razakars.
He was serving as the principal of Sherpur Degree College and the editor
of Weekly Uttarbanga Bulletin during the Liberation War.
Dewan started his career in journalism with the then daily Ittehad and
Insaf newspapers. Later, he joined Bogura Azizul Haque Degree College, said a
press release here today.
He was the founder president of Bogura Press Club, the release said, adding
that the government has named a road after him in Bogura to preserve his
memory.
TMSS, a non-government organisation, has introduced “Shaheed Mohsin Ali
Dewan Award” on journalism, the release said.
