Number of Bangladesh Army members rises in Kuwait
DHAKA, May 31, 2019 (BSS) – Kuwait government has approved to increase the number of Bangladesh army under the OKP-9 contingent in Kuwait to 639 from 250.
The approval was come on Thursday for the good relations between the Bangladesh government and Kuwait government and intense efforts of Bangladesh Army Chief General Aziz Ahmed, said a press release of ISPR here today.
Kuwait government has requested Bangladesh government to send the increasing number of army person immediately.
Earlier, Chief of Army Staff General Aziz Ahmed visited Kuwait form March 11 to March 14.
During the visit, he met his counterpart of Kuwait armed forces.
During the meeting, Aziz Ahmed requested to increase the number of engineering contingents of Bangladesh Army engaged in Kuwait as well as discussing bilateral cooperation issues.
Now, the Bangladesh Army’s OKP-9 Contingent is engaged in various types of construction work successfully under Kuwait’s Armed Forces.
