DHAKA, May 15, 2019 (BSS) – Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD)
today predicted rain or thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty or
squally wind at one or two places over the country till 9 am tomorrow.
“Rain or thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty or squally wind is
likely to occur at many places over Rangpur, Mymensingh and Sylhet divisions,
at a few places over Dhaka, Khulna, Rajshahi and Chattogram divisions and at
one or two places over Barishal division with hails at isolated places”, said
a met office release issued here this morning.
Meanwhile, mild heat wave is sweeping over the regions of Khulna and
Jashore and it may abate with a nearly unchanged day and night temperature
over the country, it added.
The highest temperature on Tuesday was recorded 36.8 degrees Celsius in
Khulna and today’s minimum temperature 21.1 degrees Celsius in Dimla under
Rangpur division.
