Hajj flight starts from July 4

DHAKA, April 30, 2019 (BSS) – Biman Bangladesh Airlines has taken all-out preparation to start this year’s hajj flights operation from July 4.

Some 1,27,198 pilgrims from Bangladesh are set to perform this year’s hajj. Biman Bangladesh Airlines will carry 63,599, the half of the total hajj pilgrims, and the rest will be carried by Saudi Airlines, the national carrier of Saudi Arabia.

The national flag carrier will operate 189 pre-hajj flights, 157 dedicated and 32 scheduled flights till August 5, a Biman press release said here today.

This year, Biman will operate 11 flights to Madina from Dhaka for the first time, it added.

Apart from Dhaka, 10 dedicated hajj flights to Jeddah and seven to Madina will be operated from Chattogram while three to Jeddah from Sylhet.

The Biman’s return hajj flight will start from August 17 and end on September 14.
