Int’l research conference on science, technology held
DHAKA, April 28, 2019 (BSS) – A Bangladeshi researcher in an
international conference on science and technology in Thailand said
Bangladesh is set to capitalize the maximum outcome from the Fourth
Industrial Revolution (4IR).
Dr Muhammad Mahboob Ali, a Professor of Dhaka School of Economics, said
Bangladesh has obtained unprecedented technological advancement through the
ruling party’s “Digital Bangladesh” manifesto.
Referring to a huge number of young population in Bangladesh, he said,
technical and vocational education as well as training and other skill
development programmes are being undertaken by the government to turn this
population into resources.
The Rangasit University International research conference on Science and
Technology, Social science and humanities was held in Thailand, said a press
release today.
In the conference, 70 researchers from the UK, Japan, Australia,
Thailand, India, Bangladesh and ASEAN countries participated.
