College student missing in Jaflong
SYLHET, April 26, 2019 (BSS) – A student of Sylhet MC College have been
missing in the river Piyain in Jaflong today.
The student is identified as Akikur Rahman Anik, 20, an inhabitant in
Nobiganj upazila of Habiganj district. He was an honours student at the
college.
Local people said Anik drowned when he was taking bathe in the river
along with his two friends this afternoon.
Officer-in-Charge of Gowainghat Thana Abdul Jalil said police is in the
scene. Firefighters are trying to rescue Anik, he added.
