Ministers visit Selim’s house to condole his grandson’s death

DHAKA, April 22, 2019 (BSS) – Ministers, prime minister’s energy adviser, party leaders, associate and likeminded bodies today visited Awami League Presidium Member Sheikh Fazlul Karim Selim’s Banani residence to express their sorrow over the sad demise of his minor grandson Zayan Chowdhury in the Sri Lanka blasts.

Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan, LGRD and Cooperatives Minister M Tazul Islam, Industries Minister Nurul Majid Mahmud Humayun, Information Minister Dr. Hasan Mahmud, Chief Whip Noor-E-Alam Chowdhury Liton, Awami League Presidium Member Mohammed Nasim, Awami League Acting General Secretary Mahbub-ul-Alam Hanif, State Minister for Religious Affairs Advocate Sheikh Mohammad Abdullah, State Minister for ICT Division Zunaid Ahmed Palak, Former Whip of Jatiya Sangsad Shahiduzzaman Sarker, incumbent Whip Iqbalur Rahim, Awami League joint secretaries Jahangir Kabir Nanak and Abdur Rahman, visited the residence of Sheikh Selim.

They expressed profound shock at the death of minor boy Zayan in the deadly bombings in Sri Lanka on the day of Easter Sunday, one of the biggest festivals of Christian community.

Jubo League Chairman Omar Faruque Chowdhury and General Secretary Harun-or-Rashid, Dhaka City South unit of Jubo League President Ismail Hossain Samrat and Dhaka City North unit of Jubo League General Secretary M Ismail Hossain also went to Selim’s residence.

Besides, leaders and workers of Bangladesh Students League, Awami Jubo Mohila League, Mohila Awami League, Awami Swachhasebak League and other front organizations also rushed to Sheikh Selim’s residence to express their deep shock at the tragic death of Zayan.
