Khalid for saving the earth
DHAKA, April 20, 2019 (BSS) – State Minister for Shipping Khalid Mahmud Chowdhury today called for making people aware of their responsibilities to save the earth.
“We must put our endeavors to save our environment, to save the earth…otherwise it will be too late to take attempts,” he told a discussion arranged marking the 15th anniversary of ‘Dharitri Bangladesh’ at Jatiya Press Club here.
“Had Bangabandhu been alive, Bangladesh would have been transformed into a golden Bengal long ago,” Khalid said adding that with the prudent leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina Bangladesh is gradually heading towards the transformation.
With Professor Emeritus Dr. Anisuzzaman in the chair, it was addressed, among others, by former Vice Chancellor of Dhaka University AAMS Arefin Siddique, Chairman of World Teachers Federation Professor Mahfuza Khanam, Vice Chancellor of ASA University Dr. Dalem Chandra Burman, Media Personality Nawazish Ali Khan and General Secretary of ‘Dharitri Bangladesh’ Harun Ar Rashid.
