Another accused of Nusrat murder case arrested
FENI, April 19, 2019 (BSS) – Police today arrested another accused of
madrasa student Nusrat Jahan Rafi murder case.
Ruhul Amin, vice president Sonagazi Senior Islamia Fazil Madrasa was
arrested from his residence in Sonagazi today, police said.
It was alleged that Ruhul Amin was the person who played a key role in
Nusrat murder.
Meanwhile, Sultana Popy and Jabed Hossain, two another accused of the
murder case were produced before the court for giving confessional statement
after their remand.
Arabia Islamic University in an order today dissolved the managing
committee of the Sonagazi Senior Islamia Fazil Madrasa.
A convening committee headed by ADC (general) Sujan Chowdhury has been
constituted.
Nusrat Jahan Rafi, an Alim examinee of Sonagazi Senior Islamia Fazil
Madrasa was set on fire on April 6 allegedly by students loyal to Principal
Siraj Ud Doula against whom Nusrat raised allegation of sexual harassment.
Nusrat succumbed to her injuries at Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH)
in the capital on April 10.
