Parliamentary Estimate Committee’s first meeting held
DHAKA, April 18, 2019 (BSS) – The first meeting of the Estimate Committee
of the Jatiya Sangsad (JS) was held today at the Jatiya Sangsad bhaban here.
The meeting was presided over by committee chairman Md. Abdus Shahid, said
a press release.
Other members of the committee – chief whip of the Jatiya Sangsad Noor-E-
Alam Chowdhury, A B Tajul Islam, Sheikh Fazle Noor Taposh, Bazlul Haque
Harun, Ahsan Adelur Rahman and Wasika Aysha Khan were present at the meeting.
During the meeting recommendations were placed to send the committee all
necessary information about setting up — Super Specialized Hospital under
Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University (BSMMU) — within the next two
months.
The committee also suggested to appoint experienced Project Directors for
any project.
Implementation Monitoring and Evaluation Division (IMED) secretary, senior
officials of the health ministry and parliamentary secretariat officials were
present at the meeting.
