Standing committee recommends complaint box in education institutions

DHAKA, APR 18, 2019 (BSS) – The parliamentary standing committee on Woman
and Children Affairs’ Ministry recommended establishment of complaint boxes
in each education institution of the country.

In the second meeting of the parliamentary standing committee presided by
its chairman Begum Meher Afroz, MP, the committee recommended establishing
complaint box for students and employees in every education institution and
suggested taking proactive action to stop violence against woman, said an
official press release.

Besides, an elaborate discussion about ‘Kishor Kishori Club Project’, DNA
Lab and Bangladesh Shishu Academy Ain was held. Two five member sub-
committees were formed in the meeting, for implementing the projects.

Md. Abdl Aziz, MP was made convener of the sub-committee for DNA Lab and
Bangladesh Shishu Academy Ain. Other members of the committee are: A M Naimur
Rahman, MP, Begum Shabnam Jahan, MP, Begum Lutfun Nesa Khan, MP, and Syed
Rashida Begum, MP.

The committee made A M Naimur Rahman, MP the convener of the ‘Kishor
Kishori Club project’ sub-committee. The other members are: Md. Abdul Aziz,
MP, Begum Shabnam Jahan, MP, Begum Lutfun Nesa Khan, MP, and Syed Rashida
Begum, MP.

The standing committee also recommended finishing construction of the
‘Jayita Tower’ as soon as possible.

Respective officials and employees were also present at the meeting.
