Bangladesh’s peacekeeping role lauded
DHAKA, April 18, 2019 (BSS) – Army chief General Aziz Ahmed paid a courtesy call on Force Commander of UN peacekeeping mission, Monuscos, Congo Lt General Elia Rodrigues Martins Filho and Deputy SRSG David Gressly on Wednesday.
During the meeting, both of them highly praised the activities of the contingents of Bangladesh Armed Forces in the UN peacekeeping mission, said an ISPR press release today.
They appreciated the high professionalism, sincerity and competency of Bangladeshi peacekeepers in the UN mission.
Aziz Ahmed visited the contingents of Bangladesh Army in Congo and gave an inspirational address. He also gave a separate speech for the officers of contingents.
Besides, the Army Chief paid a courtesy call on Pacifique Keta Upar, governor of Congo’s Ituri Province.
