DHAKA, March 16, 2018 (BSS) – Awami League (AL) General Secretary Obaidul Quader visited plane crash victim Shahreen Ahmed at burn unit of Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) today.

Shahrien, a staff of Scholastica School, was brought to Dhaka on Thursday and admitted to the DMCH burn unit.

After visiting the victim, Quader, also the Road Transport and Bridges Minister, told reporters that she is recovering from a horrible situation.

“Shahrien told us to pray for her,” said Quader.

All the bodies will be brought back to the country soon, Quader said, adding the government is working on this.

“It was a bit late to bring back the bodies. DNA testing was a bit delayed because of their (Kathmandhu) manpower crisis. But now this problem has been solved as we sent our team there. The bodies will be brought back to the country quickly,” he said.

Earlier on Monday, a US-Bangla plane veered off the runway at Kathmandu’s Tribhuvan International Airport in Nepal leaving 51 people, including 26 Bangladeshis, dead.
