Siblings to die for killing teenager in Khilgaon
DHAKA, April 15, 2019 (BSS) – A Dhaka court today sentenced two brothers
to death in a case lodged over murder of a teenager in capital’s Khilgaon
area in 2011.
Dhaka third additional metropolitan magistrate Robiul Alam passed the
order in presence of the convicts Shahdat Hossain Babu, 42, and his brother
Sazzad Hossain Piplu, 34.
According to the case documents, Babu and Piplu slaughtered their tenant
Ahmed Ali, 15, on May 11, 2011. Ali’s mother Nargis filed the case with
Khilgaon Police Station.
Detective branch (DB) inspector Sadik Mojibur Rahman on April 17, 2012,
filed charge sheet in the case.
The court on October 2, 2013, framed charges against the accused in the
case. During the proceedings of the case, another two accused Sayed Ali and
Milon Miah died and the court dropped their names from the case.
The court today came up with the judgment after examining 12 out of 31
witnesses in the case.
