CHATTOGRAM, APRIL 14, 2019 (BSS) – A drug addict youth was arrested on
charges of killing his father at city’s Kazir Dewri Lane on early Sunday.
The arrested youth Robin Barua, 24, is accused of stabbing his father
Ranjan Barua, 53, hailed from Mohamuni Pahartali village under Raozan
upazila, to death.
Mohammad Mohsin, officer-in-charge of Kotwali thana, said Ranjon and his
drug addict son Robin had longstanding dispute over remarriage after the
death of his first wife, Robin’s mother.
At one stage of altercation around 6 am today, Robin stabbed his
father, leaving him dead on the spot.
Locals detained the youth and handed him over to the police.
Sanjay Barua, another son of Ranjon, filed a case with Kotwali thana in
this connection.
