Environment department fines two for violating law
DHAKA, APRIL 10, 2019 (BSS) – The Monitoring and Enforcement Wing of Environment Department fined two persons and institutes for breaching the codes of ‘Bangladesh Environment Conservation Act, 1995 (Amended 2010), today.
Rubina Firdous, Director of the Monitoring and Enforcement Wing of Environment Department, after a hearing today, fined a total of Taka 62,48923 from Rupayana Tower in Banani and Rupayan Housing Estate Ltd for constructing buildings without any environmental or positional clearance certificates.
Also, a total of taka 1, 22, 250 was fined for illegal hill cutting in Barhal area of Sylhet, from a person named Alhaz Maksand Ali.
