Liberation War heroine’s allowance for better living: Mozammel
DHAKA, April 10, 2019 (BSS) – Liberation War Affairs Minister AKM Mozammel Huq today said that the government had termed the liberation War heroines as the best children of the soil saying along with giving this status they will be provided allowances for better living.
“The incumbent government has given the status of the best children to the heroines of the War of Liberation…. Moreover, they would be provided allowances for living with dignity. Necessary measures were being taken in this regard,” he said.
The minister said this while speaking at a function for the research work and collection of evidence of Biranganas at the CIRDAP auditorium in the capital under the joint arrangement of Durham University and Research Initiatives, Bangladesh (RIB).
The minister also said the government will take measures to record the heroic contribution of the Freedom Fighters during the great Liberation War across the country.
He also called upon the private organisations in the country to take similar initiatives and thanked Durham University and RIB for conducting the research work.
Durham University professor and eminent researcher Nayanika Mookherjee and artist Nazmun Nahar Keya were present, among others, on the occasion.
