PM to open over 100 dev projects during Mymensingh visit

 MYMENSINGH March 13, 2018 (BSS) – Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina is set to inaugurate a total of 100 development projects during her visit in Mymensingh.

The premier is scheduled to visit the district on April 5 next.

According to the office of deputy commissioner, during the visit the Prime Minister will inaugurate over 100 development projects in four districts – Mymensingh, Jamalpur, Sherpur and Netrakona of the division.

The PM will also lay the foundation stone of divisional headquarters complex and address a grand public rally during the visit.

A preparatory meeting was held today at the conference room of deputy commissioner over the visit of the premier.

With Divisional Commissioner GM Saleh Uddin in the chair, the meeting was addressed by Agriculture Minister Begum Matia Chowdhury as the chief guest while Religious Affairs Minister Principal Motiur Rahman as special guest.

Among others, Dr M Amanullah MP, Anwarul Abedin MP, Sharif Ahmed MP, DIG Mymensingh Range Nibash Chandra Majhi, Additional Divisional Commissioner Mozammel Haque, Deputy Commissioners and chairmen of Zila Parishads of Mymensingh, Jamalpur Sherpur and Netrakona districts, upazila chairmen, UNOs, heads of the divisional offices and leaders of Awami League were present at the meeting.

The meeting reviewed all the preparatory measures and urged all concerned to take smooth steps to complete the preparations including security measures.

Addressing the meeting, the Agriculture Minister said: ” The Prime Minister has fulfilled the long-cherished demand of the people of Mymensingh division and so the people of the region should be grateful to her.”

She also urged Awami League leaders to make all the events successful.
