NARAIL, April, 09, 2019 (BSS) – A man was killed and 15 others were injured
in a clash between the two groups of rival at Kalabaria under Kalia upazila
of the district last evening.
The deceased was identified as Azizur Rahman alias Kotai Sheikh (45), son
of Oliar Rahman Sheikh of Charkandipara village of Kalabaria Union.
According to the police and villagers, the clash took place in the evening
between two groups of rival over establishing supremacy in the area.
At least 16 people including women were injured in the incident. The
injured were admitted to Khulna and Gopalganj Medical College Hospital.
Azizur Rahman alias Kotai Sheikh was seriously injured. But, he succumbed
to his injuries on way to the Khulna Medical College Hospital around 8:30pm.
Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Naragati Police Station Md. Alamgir Hossen
confirmed the matter.
A case was filed in this connection, police said.
