One gets life for killing his wife in Noakhali
NOAKHALI, April 8, 2019 (BSS) – A court here today awarded life term
imprisonment to a man for killing his wife in Begumganj upazila of the
district on February 07, 2015.
The court also fined convict Farhadul Islam, son of Nurul Huda, a
resident of Hgatla-Kadirpur of the upazila, Taka one lakh, a court official
said.
According to prosecution, Farhadul along with his other family members
killed his wife Amena Begum, 27, on February 7, 2015 over family feud.
After the incident, Aleya Begum, elder sister of the victim, filed a
murder case with Begumganj police station against five persons including
Farhadul. Police submitted charge sheet after investigation.
Later, Additional District and Session Judge M Faruque after examining
17 witnesses and evidences handed down the verdict.
