Free treatment at hospitals marking Bangabandhu’s birth aniv

DHAKA, March 13, 2019 (BSS) – The government is going to provide medical
treatment free of cost at outdoors of all public hospitals and clinics across
the country on March 17, marking the birth anniversary of Bangabandhu Sheikh
Mujibur.

The government has taken the decision as a part of initiatives to pay
homage to Father of the Nation coinciding with his 99th birth anniversary and
National Children’s Day, said a press release.

“The free treatment will be provided to the patients from 8:30 am to 12:30
pm on that day,” said a press release today.

Health and Family Welfare Minister Zahid Maleque has given the directions
to provide free treatment and take various programmes under the health
ministry marking the birth anniversary of the great leader of Bangali nation.

Simultaneously, the hospitals will also offer improved diets like Polau,
chicken roast and egg curry to the patients admitted in the hospitals.

Children’s wards will be decorated with flowers on that day.
